MISSION STATEMENT
We, the People of God, in St. Joseph’s
Church, united with each other and our Pastor as members of the
One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, do hereby come
together to form a Parish Pastoral Council. We do so knowing
that every one of us is a living member of the mystical body of
Christ, and that in this body, “there are different gifts, but
the same spirit: different ministries, but the same Lord.”
(1Corinthians 12:4-5)

Fr. Rector’s Annual Pastoral Home Visits
“Pastors must regard as one of their primary pastoral
duties the faithful visitation of families to bring the
message of Christ’s peace. They will thus obey the
command of Christ to his disciples: “On entering any
house, first say: ‘Peace to this house’ “(Luke 10:5)
This summer of 2010, I once again intend to visit our
parishioners at their homes. It is always my beliefs
that as your pastor, part of my responsibilities are: to
know the lives of my parishioners; to interact with you
outside the building of the church; and to solicit
suggestions as to how the parish can better serve our
community. Hence, the Annual Pastoral Home Visits or
Pastor’s Home Visitation Ministry.
I will be posting on the bulletin board a sign up sheet
with the specific schedule that I am available to
visit. I encourage each of you especially parishioners
that I have not visited yet in the past years to
participate. It will be a very good occasion for me to
get to know you more and your family.
May I wish all of you a good summer vacation. For those
of you that will be travelling elsewhere, our prayers
are with you that you may journey back safely. May
Sunday Eucharist be part of your summer and travel
plans!
I remain,
Fr. Rector
NB:
“Sunday is the day when every Christian community comes
together to give thanks to God for his saving gift in
Christ. Nothing should keep us from taking our full and
active part in this celebration of faith and love, in
union with God's people here and in every part of the
world, and with his Church in eternity. “-CCCB
